Guided Tours

Join our local Blue Badge Tour Guides to experience a variety of guided walking tours based in the beautiful market town of Sherborne and beyond.

2020 Programme

Our walking tours of historic Sherborne are led by expert guides who aim to be informative and entertaining. We promote hidden corners and colourful stories which you won’t find in the guidebooks!

We can tailor your walk to suit your particular interest, whether it be historical, architectural, literary, or general. There’s something for everyone.

Our delightful walking tours take at least 2 hours to enjoy. With the guides enthusiasm and extensive knowledge, the extent of the walk is limited only by your interest or the time you have available, from a few hours to a whole day!

All tours will adhere to the following safety measures from the ‘Covid-19 Guidance for Tour Guiding’:

Only clients who have pre-booked by 18.00 the day before a tour can join a group. Tours will consist of a maximum of 5 people plus one tour guide.

During the tour, clients will be requested to:

  • maintain social distancing between people from different households
  • wear a face mask and bring hand sanitiser
  • follow the risk assessed route

If you do not feel well, stay home. We will happily rearrange your booking.

Our tours are suitable for all ages and are fully accessible.

You can enhance your experience using your own mobile device & earphones. Contact paul@sherbornewalks.co.uk for details.

Payment is made on-line when booking. Cash payment to the guide is only an option if there is an available space at the start of a tour.

Cancellation: If you have pre-paid and are unable to honour your booking a refund will only be paid if you inform us by 6.00 pm the day before your booked event. You can cancel online or call Paul: 07989 453966.

If your tour is cancelled due to weather-related closure or a sudden issue arises, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity and provide a full refund.

To book a tour proceed using the menu options below. (I would display default as the grid rather than list)  Booking can also be done by contacting 07989 453966 or e-mail paul@sherbornewalks.co.uk providing a name and contact detail (telephone no. or e-mail)
