Discover the unique atmosphere of Sherborne School CANCELLED: SCHOOL DECISION TO CLOSE ACCESS TO VISITORS
An exciting new walk for 2023. The tour offers a unique opportunity to access the fascinating world of Sherborne School during which we will explain how the School developed on the site of the ancient Benedictine monastery after the 1660’s. You will be guided around the historical central core of the School visiting interesting sites. Learn about some key events, traditions and people associated with the School’s development. Your guide will be accompanied by a member of the Sherborne School Events team who will respond to questions about how the School is organised today
.Over recent years, the site has been used for TV and film sets and has a surprising link to the Germans’ first bombing of a west country town in 1940. There are many insights and surprises in learn about.
The tour will conclude in The Hub Café, where the School invites participants to have a discounted Cream Tea and refreshments.
